McAfee Director Workforce Management Has Been Open Five Plus Months

The observation

In November 2025, McAfee posted a Director Workforce Management role in Plano, Texas, with platform language naming Kronos, NICE, Verint, Workday, and any. Five months later, the role is still in active posting status across LinkedIn, Indeed, and the operator careers page. This is the slowest fill on a Director rank workforce management seat in the Texas tracking universe across the first half of 2026.

The role itself is unremarkable on the brief. Director rank. Multi platform fluency. Standard responsibilities. What makes this posting the signal is the duration. Five plus months at Director rank for a workforce management seat at a large technology operator is not a sourcing problem. It is a definition problem.

A Director rank workforce management seat that sits open five plus months at a large technology operator is almost always a scope problem. The operator wrote the posting for a Director who runs the existing function. The seat the operation actually needs is an architect rank Director who designs the function under multi platform fluency, AI integration, and Texas multi site operational scale.

The candidates who can do the architect rank version of this seat are not the candidates who apply to a Director posting that names Kronos, NICE, Verint, and Workday in the same sentence. The architect rank candidates read that posting as a process improvement seat, not a function design seat. The seat the operator needs cannot be filled by the brief the operator wrote.

The hiring market signal

For an operator audience. For a technology sector operator hiring at Director rank workforce management. If the seat has been open more than ninety days, the posting is not the problem. The brief is the problem. The architect rank version of the seat is the seat the operation needs. Open it deliberately or close the Director posting and open the architect posting.

For a workforce management practitioner audience. For a workforce management practitioner at Senior Manager or Director rank in Texas. The McAfee seat is the diagnostic. The operators that take five months to fill a Director posting are the operators that need an architect rank candidate. The recruiter who can name the architect rank candidate to the McAfee equivalent operators is the recruiter that closes the seat the standard funnel cannot.
