The NEW POSITION Label at Enercare Is the Highest Signal Posting Type

The observation

The Enercare posting for Senior Manager of Planning, Analysis and Workforce Optimization is explicitly labeled NEW POSITION in the operator job description. The role reports to a recently appointed VP for Call Centre and Customer Experience. The Bill 149 disclosed salary band is CAa disclosed range The spread of approximately CAa disclosed amount sits near the maximum allowed under the legislation.

This is the cleanest example of the highest signal posting type in the current Ontario library.

NEW POSITION at Senior Manager rank, reporting to a recently appointed VP, with a salary band stretched near the legislative maximum, is the posting pattern that signals four conditions almost always present in combination. Budget approved. Executive sponsor invested. Strategic clarity locked. Room to make a non standard hire.

When all four conditions are present, the seat is ready. When the seat is ready, the operator is operating one cycle ahead of the operator universe that has not yet decided.

The Recruiter Read

The four conditions that produce a NEW POSITION at Senior Manager rank or above are not present at most operators most of the time. When they are present together, the resulting hire defines the function for three to five years at that operator. A NEW POSITION badly hired locks in three to five years of misalignment. A NEW POSITION rightly hired locks in three to five years of compounding. The candidate the operator believes fits the role and the candidate the role actually needs are often not the same person. The recently appointed VP knows the seat exists. The market does not yet know what the seat is worth in a non standard hire.

The hiring market signal

For an operator preparing to post a NEW POSITION in the next two quarters. The Bill 149 disclosure is now the public signal of how serious the operator is. A posted band tightly clustered at the bottom of the legislative range signals the seat was budgeted as a backfill. A posted band stretched to the legislative maximum signals the seat was budgeted as a hire. The candidate pool reads the same disclosure. The strongest candidates filter toward the operators that posted to the legislative maximum.

For a Senior Manager or Director rank candidate scanning the Ontario market right now. The Enercare posting is the indicator of where the architect work in the home services vertical is moving. Adjacent operators in the same vertical will move within the next nine to twelve months. The candidate who places into the Enercare seat will be the reference call for two or three subsequent placements at adjacent operators.
